The brief

A trade buyer and a curious consumer want completely different things.

A business buying matcha by the kilo for a café menu has a specific set of questions: consistency batch to batch, grade, price at volume, whether it holds up in a drink made two hundred times a day, and whether they can try it before committing.

A website that leads with lifestyle photography answers none of those, and attracts an audience that will never place a trade order. The problem is not visual — it is that the site has to qualify.

Approach

Qualify on the first screen.

01

Lead with the trade proposition

The first screen states who the product is for and what the commercial terms look like, rather than opening with atmosphere. A consumer browsing recognises quickly that this is not aimed at them, which is the intended outcome.

02

Make the sample the call to action

The primary action is a price list and a sample, not a generic contact form. For a product a buyer needs to taste, that is the step that actually moves a decision forward — and it self-selects serious enquiries.

03

Put the credentials where the doubt is

Grade, purity, certification and pack size are presented as primary content next to the offer, because for a trade buyer those are the deciding facts rather than supporting detail.

04

Right-to-left as the native layout

The site is Hebrew-first and reads as a site built in Hebrew, not one translated into it — layout direction, typography and form behaviour all follow from that.

The experience

Botanical, warm, and commercially direct.

Deep greens and warm cream with product photography given room, carrying a page that is unusually explicit about who it is for.

Where it stands

Live, and doing a specific job.

The site is live at takumimatcha.co.il, built on WordPress.

Its job is narrow and clear: reach the right kind of buyer and give them a reason to ask for a sample. We do not publish enquiry volumes or any other client figures.
