E-commerce
A premium online store selling wall clocks, watches and watch-care accessories to customers across many countries.
The brief
A wall clock or an automatic watch winder is a deliberate purchase. The customer is usually furnishing a room they care about, and they are buying something they would normally want to see in person before committing.
An international store has to answer that hesitation on the page: what the piece actually looks like, how large it is, what it is made of, and what happens after the order. It also has to do that for buyers arriving in different languages and currencies, which is a structural problem rather than a translation one.
Approach
The navigation is built around how people actually shop this: clocks, watches, winders, storage, books. Someone furnishing a living room and someone protecting a watch collection are on different errands, and the store separates them at the top level rather than making both scroll one long list.
Deep neutral tones with warm brass accents let the objects supply all the colour. On a store selling things that are themselves the decoration, a loud interface competes with the product.
Shipping and tax treatment appear in a persistent bar at the top of the page rather than being discovered at checkout — the single most common cause of an abandoned basket.
Language selection sits in the header, and the store is structured so that international visitors land in something coherent rather than a version that was clearly built for somewhere else.
The experience
Dark neutral ground, brass accents and large product photography, with the shop structure exposed in the header rather than buried in a menu.
What the site does
Where it stands
The store is live at wclocks.com, running on Shopify, presenting its full catalogue across clocks, watches, winders and storage.
We publish no sales or traffic figures for client projects. What is shown here is the experience itself, which you can go and use.
